Eating Chocolate Reduces Your Risk of Death

Regular cocoa consumption could lower your blood pressure and even cut your risk of dying of a heart attack in half.

In a 15-year long study, over 450 men aged over 65 were divided into three groups based on their cocoa intake. The high-consumption group consisted of those who ate at least four grams a day.

Those in the group that consumed the least cocoa proved to be twice as likely to die of a heart attack as those who ate the most. Furthermore, those who consumed the most cocoa were also less likely to die of any cause, and had lower blood pressure than the other groups. However, raw cocoa and chocolate are not exactly the same. Eating four grams of cocoa would require consuming 100 grams of dark chocolate. Topical Vitamin A Prevents Wrinkles

A double blind study of elderly subjects (mean age of 87 years) investigated a 4% topical vitamin A (retinol) lotion compared to a placebo. The retinol group saw a reduction in wrinkles of 19.5%, determined by biopsy samples. Vitamin A itself may be even better tolerated than retinol, the vitamin A analogue which can cause skin sensitivities and adverse reactions. Townsend Letter.

Ovarian Cancer Risks Higher for Obese Women

Research has shown that women with a body mass index greater than 25 had a shorter remission period from treatment and higher chances of death. Obesity is a known risk factor for several cancers, including cancer of the kidney, breast, and colon. About 15,000 women die of ovarian cancer annually. Cancer.

Dog Loves Vegan™ and Au Jus™
"Just a quick thank you for several great products. My miniature schnauzer recently had to take an anti-inflammatory for knee problems which caused her liver enzymes to elevate. My vet told me to give her only low fat dog food. We had tried several and she was not thrilled but ate a little. When I happened to see your product at the local health food store, I purchased the canine/feline vegetarian dry dog food and two of the cans of canine/feline food (duck and rabbit). My dog loves the dry dog food and the duck food, and the kitties are beginning to nibble on the dry food, but also loved the duck canned food. Thank you for making such wonderful products. I will continue to purchase your products at Natural Pantry in Anchorage, Alaska, and will let my vet know about your products when we return there."

Thank You
