Fluoride Exposure May Contribute to Early Puberty

Research conducted by Dr. Jennifer Luke in the late 1990s detected the first evidence of fluoride accumulation in the human body. The target of the fluoride was the pineal gland, located near the center of the brain. This gland is responsible for regulating the hormone melatonin, which helps protect the body from free radicals, mediates sleep-wake cycles, and regulates the onset of puberty.

Dr. Luke did testing to determine if the accumulated fluoride could impact the functioning of the gland. It was found that indeed it resulted in lower levels of circulating melatonin. This lower level was accompanied, as might be expected, by an earlier onset of puberty and disturbance of sleep cycles--problems that are plaguing modern populations on municipal fluoridated water. Persistent Muscle Pain Possibly Related to Vitamin D Deficiency

Mayo Clinic researchers conducting a cross sectional study of non-specific musculoskeletal pain discovered a relationship between pain and blood serum levels of vitamin D.

The 150 test subjects ranged in age and cultural background. Out of the African American, Hispanic, East African and American Indians tested, 100% were found to be vitamin D deficient. Out of the study's 150 subjects, 28% were severely deficient in vitamin D.

In another study in Saudi Arabia, researchers found vitamin D deficiency in a group of 360 chronic back pain patients. All patients were given vitamin D (5000 to 10000 IU) for three months, which improved chronic pain. (See O-Mega D™, Optimal™, Daily Combo™) Mayo Clinic Proceedings.

Neurogenesis Increased with Polyphenols and Polyunsaturated Fats

A recent study showed that diets high in polyphenols (found in foods such as tea, grapes, wine, olive oil, cocoa, nuts and other fruits and vegetables) and polyunsaturated fats (found in foods such as blue fish and vegetables such as corn, soya beans, sunflowers and pumpkins) had an increase in the production of the brain's stem cells. The increased cell proliferation was noted in the olfactory bulb and the hippocampus regions of the brain, which are the most commonly damaged tissues in Alzheimer's patients. It is concluded that a diet high in polyphenols and polyunsaturated fats slows the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease. Higher intake of omega-3 fatty acids reduces risk of endometriosis, higher intake of trans fats increases the risk.

Along with the dangers of aluminum and other toxins, recent research has found higher concentrations of parabens (chemicals used as preservatives) in the upper quadrants of the breast and axillary area, where deodorants are applied. Out of 99% of tissue samples collected from mastectomies, one or more paraben esters were detected. All five paraben esters were present in 60% of the samples. This suggests a strong correlation between parabens and the development of breast cancer.

Unusual Friends: Cat and Crow

Knack for Explaining
After reading Dr. Wysong's books, a reader remarked: "You have a knack for explaining the not so intuitively obvious for most casual observers."

Good Work
"I love WYSONG and am a firm believer, I love what you do. I love the food...Keep up the good work!"

Dog Switched to Wysong Easily
"Wow--my order came today! I wasn't expecting it so soon. I went to get her some food to tide her over til it got here. Her food was on the recall list. Some friends use this food and she (the dog) ate some while we were there--she had no digestive problems at all with eating the Wysong food that night at all. So far I am pleased with what I have read and how she is gobbling up her food! Thank you!"

Epigen™ Great Adjunct to Raw Diet
"...I just purchased a case of the Epigen. I used to feed Wysong to my Belgian Sheep Dog when I lived in Michigan and then also after I moved to Maine - she lived to an almost record (for her breed) 18 years - I also fed her raw and home-prepared. I fed Wysong and home prepared to my current dog before switching entirely to raw and home prepared. He has been getting a bit fussy and not eating as well lately (he's almost 10) and so I bought some Wysong samples from my pet food store. He LOVED the Epigen, so I'm using that as a top dressing and watching him devour his meals with youthful ardor! LOL

After reading the Wysong Epigen Starch-Free brochure, I'm recommending Wysong Epigen and other starch-free products to one and all.

Thanks for all you do! God bless you!"
