Salt and Heart Disease

A study in 2011, one that was not funded by pharmaceutical companies with a conflict of interest, found no correlation of higher salt intake and heart disease. In fact, they found that mortality from heart disease was increased with lower salt excretion (low excretion means low intake). (See Whole Salt™) Journal of the American Medical Association.

Soy Protein and Health

A review of seven epidemiologic studies found “no evidence that soy is harmful for women with breast cancer.” In fact, an active ingredient in soy, called lunasin, has anti-cancer properties. It also lowered LDL and raised HDL cholesterol levels. Another finding was that soy can smooth wrinkles in the skin, specifically “crow’s feet.” A compound in soy called S-equol can attach to estrogen receptors in the body, such as those in skin cells. Researchers believe that skin aging is linked to waning estrogen levels after menopause. (See Whole Soy™, Peanut Butter Plus™, Super Flour™, Chocolate Therapy™) Prepared Foods.

Cyclical Breast Pain Eased With Flaxseed

A three-month study of 116 women found that consuming flaxseed significantly improved cyclical breast pain after two and three months, with no reported side effects. Flaxseed is naturally high in mammalian lignan precursors, which may antagonize the effects of endogenous estrogen. (See E.F.A.™, Origins™, Peanut Butter Plus™, FiberMin-E.F.A.™, Chocolate Therapy™) Breast Cancer Research Treat.

Magnesium supplementation benefits subjects with mild to moderate asthma.

(See Chelamin™, Optimal™, High Calcium/Potassium/Magnesium Whole Salt™) J Asthma.

Vitamin D deficiency contributes to impaired bone metabolism in hemodialysis patients. During these winter months vitamin D is essential for most people if they desire health. Many experts recommend 5000 IU per day.

Origins™ Helps with Weight Loss
“I took your advice and dropped my usual cereal, toast and coffee breakfast and my fast food lunches. Instead I just crush an Origins bar into some plain yogurt that I mash a banana into and eat that. (Love the taste!) Bottom line is I am really shedding pounds (fat) and feel great. Thanks for the info and wonderful products. (I also take your supplements.)”

Archetype Burgers™ Help Colitis
“I have to tell you my Yorkie is the most finicky eater ever. He won’t even eat fresh chicken. He eats Archetype Burgers all the time though. He has colitis and this is great for him. He is 3 years old and doing very well.”

Nurture™ Saves Kitten
“I have fed my kitten Nurture since he came to me. He wasn't 8 weeks and the woman told me she was throwing him away. I took the poor little guy and bought the Nurture. His fur was rough. You could see his little ribs. You should see him now. He is large, loving and his fur is like a bunny rabbit’s. THANK YOU!”

Maintenance™ Improves Digestive Problems
“Just a note to thank you for your wonderful product – Canine Maintenance. My Pekingese was having continuing digestive problems. Fortunately our veterinarian Dr. Mark Restey recommended Wysong. Since our puppy has been eating Wysong, he is strong and full of life – no more discomfort or other problems. Thank you again for your excellent product.”

Cat Defends Dream Treats™
“Dream Treats...what trouble!!! <chuckle> Christine, who has N E V E R liked any treats in her life hangs out by the treat cabinet A L L  T H E  T I M E. She growls and purrs and chews at the same time, defending her broken pieces of Dream Treats. For 4 days, while waiting for the nice UPS man to bring 4 big bags, she was ever hopeful in the kitchen.”
